About Udyamini
Udyamini is a four-year-long collaborative initiative (2023-2027 through a robust Rural Women Entrepreneurship Programme (RWEP)), co-implemented by five Indian non-profit organisations and supported by technical partners. The programme seeks to build a robust environment for rural women entrepreneurs working in select value chains, agriculture, horticulture, handloom, handicrafts, tea, micro businesses, and in emerging domains of solar/ clean energy in the states of Assam and West Bengal.
The Udyamini program’s objective is to build a community where digitally empowered women of all socio-economic backgrounds can communicate and continue to empower, support, and take care of each other. These women (RWE) are expected to also provide services and products to their respective villages, extending the impact to all those who reside in the area and help local businesses and institutions with their day-to-day activities.
Building a dynamic and gender-responsive ecosystem empowering rural women entrepreneurs to thrive and to multiply economic opportunities for more women.
