The intervention by The Goat Trust (TGT) and appointing her as Livestock Business Counselor (LBC) marked a turning point for Bhanupriya. With their support, she gained access to essential knowledge about goat rearing, preparing input products, and health management. TGT’s training and guidance empowered Bhanupriya to overcome the challenges she faced, leading to noticeable changes in her life.
Bhanupriya’s efforts have had a transformative impact on her community. Economically, she has achieved financial independence and stability through her entrepreneurial activities, serving as a role model for other women. With her extra income, she is now able to cover her home expenses and pay fees for her children’s education. Socially, her status within the community and her family has improved significantly, with increased recognition for her efforts in improving livestock management. Furthermore, Bhanupriya’s initiatives have led to healthier livestock, increased productivity, and improved overall wellbeing among goat farmers in her community.
In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Bhanupriya has also taken the initiative to educate and train community members. She conducts monthly meetings, BPP (Bakri Palan Patsala), and video shows to share her knowledge and expertise with others. Her dedication to learning and sharing has created a ripple effect in her community, inspiring others to adopt better livestock management practices.
